HSE POLICY


RSV ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY VISION, MISSION AND POLICY STATEMENT

 

RSV requires that every person who works with, for, or on behalf of RSV be accountable for Health, Safety and Environment performance and compliance.

 

Through the application of the RSV HSE Management System, we will:

 

- Ensure good Health, Safety and Environment for all our employees, business partners and stakeholders.

- Encapsulate the “No Harm to Our People” vision of HSE through our values when providing service delivery to our clients.

- Commit senior management to a high level of HSE performance on our projects.

- Define HSE roles, responsibilities and accountabilities and communicate these at all levels within the organisation.

- Provide adequate resources to manage the RSV HSEMS.

- Establish a culture of HSE management whereby hazards are identified and risks assessed, mitigated and monitored.

- Proactively assess, review and report on our HSE performance against identified objectives.

- Encourage involvement of all our employees, business partners and stakeholders and any other interested and affected parties to use the RSV HSEMS.

We will continually improve our HSE system by:

- Leading by example in performing Visible Felt Leadership at all levels of management, starting at the executive level.

- Carrying out appropriate Hazard Identification and managing the risks accordingly.

- Converting our people, business partners and stakeholders to competently manage and be accountable for HSE performance in their responsible area.

- Constantly identifying the required abilities and provide training on our HSE systems, operating procedures and work methods.

- Investigating incidents and non-conformances. Determining the root causes and establishing corrective and preventive actions and follow up to ensure implementation thereof.

- Continually minimising the environmental and health impacts of our operations by managing resources more efficiently.

The RSV HSE culture requires compliance with the following principles:

- Total commitment towards our HSE Management System.

- Communication and consultation with employees, business partners and stakeholders to ensure HSE transparency.

- Create opportunities for employees, business partners and stakeholders to raise any HSE concerns with RSV management.

- Improve HSE cooperation between RSV, business partners and stakeholders.

- Continual over inspections in all areas, plant and tasks at all levels in the management hierarchy.
